Summary Experience
Sharon is a qualified solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales and has experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer working for various multinational companies in the insurance and energy sectors in the United Kingdom such as EDF Energy (one of the UK’s “big six” energy suppliers) and Tokio Marine Kiln, a Lloyd’s of London insurance market underwriter. Sharon has experience advising clients on data protection, negotiating framework agreements, software licences and other IT agreements and in financial compliance regulation. Sharon was previously a member of the steering committee of the Society of Labour Lawyers, assisting the UK Labour Party in the drafting of its green economy policy.
Sharon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A. Hons) in International Studies with Political Science from the University of Birmingham and an LLM in International Economic Law, Justice and Development from Birkbeck College, University of London. Sharon completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) and the Legal Practice Course (LPC) from the University of Law in London and was awarded a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB Hons) from the same institution. She intends to commence the Post Call programme at the Ghana School of Law in late 2021 to extend her legal practice in Ghana.
