Summary Experience 

Anthony Kutu Acheampong is a seasoned Development Consultant/Trainer with over twenty five years’ experience specializing in institutional capacity building and external aid procurement procedures of the majors donors particularly the European Union, in various Africa Caribbean and Pacific Countries.

After completing his HND in Applied Biology at South Bank University in London, UK. Anthony followed up with a BSc. in Agricultural Botany and MSc. in Tropical Agricultural Development (Economics and Planning) both at Reading University, UK. After 3 years working as the Project Coordinator of the Africa European Community Association in UK, Anthony was selected for an internship Programme of the European Commission in Brussels within the Directorate General for Development (DG8) from 1995 to 1996. Following on from the internship, Anthony worked with various Development Agencies and Non-Governmental Organisations in various Africa Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Countries focusing on EU Development Cooperation projects and programmes financed by European Development Fund (EDF).
Particularly the 7th, 8th 9th, 10th and 11th EDF.

Anthony has provided Technical Assistance to the National Authorising Office (NAO) in various countries in the ACP region namely Solomon Island from 1998 to 2002, Sierra Leone from 2005 to 2008 & 2013 to 2014 and Belize from 2008 to 2010. The Technical assistance provided involved working in all phases of the project cycle i.e. programing resources from the National Indicative programmes of the respective countries to identifying and formulating priority projects, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. 

As a Senior trainer with ITAD, Anthony was instrumental in the development of the European Commission’s Manual and Guideline on Project Cycle Management in 2004 and also delivered training courses to diverse range of stakeholders from Government Officials, Civil Society Organisation, Private sector organizations and EU civil servants in Brussels, Ghana, Kenya, Papua New Guinea, Tanzania and Uganda. From 2014 to 2018 Anthony was among the team of Key experts who trained newly recruited EU officials in Brussels on the Practical Guide for Financial and Contractual Procedures and also those who were to be posted to Delegations. 

Anthony was the Team Leader for Human Dyanmics, the firm contracted by the European Commission to conduct training in Brussels and all ACP countries and OCTS on Financial and Contractual procedures of the 10th and 11th EDF. He has so far conducted training courses from 2009 to 2018 in the following countries (Aruba, Barbados, Belize, Botswana, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Fiji, Jamaica, Kenya, Ghana, Gambia, Guyana, Lesotho, Liberia, St Martin, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tonga, Tanzania, Rwanda, Papua New Guinea, Zambia and Zimbabwe).
