A Co-Founder and Partner, Kwabena Oppong-Kyekyeku has extensive experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer with finance experience in Ghana. His experiences range from advising on complex cross-border, domestic finance transactions and credit arrangements, structuring and negotiating a wide range of financing facilities. He also has experience in drafting and reviewing credit facilities and related documents.
- Advised the Ministry of Finance on the successful 2021 USD 3 billion Government of Ghana (GOG) Sovereign Bond.
- Advised the Ministry of Finance on the successful 2020 USD 3 billion Government of Ghana (GOG) Sovereign Bond.
- Advised the Ministry of Finance on the successful 2019 USD 3 billion Government of Ghana (GOG) Sovereign Bond.
Kwabena has a strong understanding of the African legal and business landscape and is an expert in advising companies setting up in emerging markets. His experience ranges from assisting investors to establishing businesses and consultancies.
His achievements include being recognized as a finalist for the “Private Practice Most Promising Newcomer Award” category of the African Legal Awards 2021. Kwabena is a Contributor to the World Bank Business Ready Project 2023 and World Justice Project Rule of Law Index 2023.
Kwabena holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Hons) in History from the University of Ghana and a Bachelor of Laws degree (Hons) from the Wisconsin International University College. He is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana and a member of the Ghana Bar Association.
